In this lesson, students continue their analysis of The Autobiography of Malcolm X, by reading three brief excerpts from chapter 6. In these passages, Malcolm X describes a his brother’s visit from his brother to Harlem as well as how he avoids the draft by acting erratically and saying controversial things at the draft board. Students determine and analyze central ideas in the text.
