Ensuring Equal Educational Opportunities for English Language Learners

Angelica Infante, NYSED Associate Commissioner, presented this session on August 7, 2014 at the Network Team Institute in Albany, NY.

The session reviewed the areas of proposed amendments to the current Part 154 Regulations, and the impact that these proposed amendments will have on ELLs as well as the newly developed Blueprint for ELLs Success. The session included an overview of the principles and features of the Blueprint focusing on some of the non-negotiable for quality instruction for ELLs as well as practical examples.
