Video: Developing an Effective Evaluation System
During the 2012-2013 APPR Conference held in Albany on May 1, 2012, 200 educators heard a panel representing school districts from around New York State share reflections on their experience in developing a working APPR agreement for teachers and principals. The panel brought together districts at various stages of development to discuss the thinking, collaboration, and district-wide culture being used to build an effective evaluation system. The school districts included those with experience with the School Improvement Grant (SIG) and the Teacher Incentive Fund (TIF) Grant. An SLO Pilot District and a NYSUT Innovation District were also represented.
