Pre-Kindergarten-Grade 5 Mathematics: Curriculum Map

This document, A Story of Units: A Curriculum Overview for Grades P-5, provides an overview of the academic year for Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 5, beginning with a curriculum map and followed by detailed grade-level descriptions.

A Story of Units provides a clearly sequenced and comprehensive educational program. Coupled with effective and replicable professional development, A Story of Units provides New York teachers with the knowledge and tools necessary to implement the important instructional shifts required by the CCLS. How to Implement A Story of Units, provides additional information on how teachers can implement this currciulum in their classrooms.

UPDATE (May 16, 2013): An updated curriculum map was released at the May 2013 Network Team Institute, however, the full curriculum overview document (which currently includes the old version of the curriculum map) has not been fully updated to align with this new curriculum map. An updated overview document will be posted July 2013. In the meantime, both documents are posted here as the overview document still provides context for the updated map.
