Performance Level Descriptions for ELA and Mathematics
In Spring 2013, New York State administered the first ELA/Literacy and Mathematics Common Core tests intended to provide students, families, educators, and the public better measures of student proficiency in the knowledge and skills students need to succeed in college and careers. On this page you will find links to documents outlining the performance level descriptions (PLDs) for the state test. These PLDs describe what specific content knowledge and skills students should display at each performance level on the state test. For each grade there are two documents: one document contains PLDs for Mathematics, and the other document contains the same for ELA.
